“Fernanda and I knew each other, we followed each other on Instagram, I was in love with her universe, her taste and the beautiful energy she projected .. in mid-January 2017, I didn’t let any more time pass and invited her to the terrace of my studio one night, really since that night we never separated ”
Aldo
It is incredible the power that weddings have, to become the perfect reflection of the personality of the bride and groom; as everything is achieved together and the magic is presented in a thousand ways. Fer and Aldo are the perfect example of this, and we could not miss the opportunity to tell you all the details of their wedding at Jardín Agua Viva.
Fer’s dress was designed by Kris Goyri. Kris has a very specific sensitivity, this was fundamental because from the beginning they understood each other very well. Fer arrived with her idea to him, he hugged her and added his own.
Her red boots, a unique detail: “I have always been very determined with what I wear. I get an idea in my mind and it doesn’t come out until I get it. So it was with my boots. From the beginning I knew I wanted to be very comfortable and I wanted an element of red or coral tone. I looked everywhere for what I had in mind without much luck. My obsession was very rare because he didn’t let me take my finger off the line. Almost a month before the wedding I found my boots on eBay. Isabel Marant 2017 collection, already sold out. I ordered them and by magic they arrived only 2 days before we got married.”
The most important and significant thing for them, was the feeling of love so present that surrounded them, the love and support of their guests. The real thing was everything that was said at the ceremony and the sincere tears of all.
Fernando Gutierrez and his great team Gutierrez F Studio, were in charge of all the planning, logistics and coordination.
The creative concept was based on one of his favorite films: Great Expectations.
“That decadent mansion submerged in time and in all kinds of greens and plants remained etched in my memory forever. When designing the wedding, the only thing I had in mind was that place: Paradiso Perduto ”.
Ana Paula Lavin of ByAllegra was in charge of choosing together with Fer, the plants and flowers, of creating in each space of the garden that paradise that they wanted since the beginning. Purple, olive green, leaf green, brown and orange colors.
Fer and Aldo were involved in every detail, in every part of the process.
“Very similar to everything we do together, we always agree on our aesthetic decisions, so making the wedding was quite simple in terms of creation and coordination. The wedding was basically an extension of our day to day in the format of a party ”
“Everyone shared a little of their heart to unite us a little more”
The most important thing for them was to stay real and honest to who and how they are. After the civil union, each one said their vows and what that moment meant. Then their daughters linked them with a rope and followed by a group of friends and family, they dedicated a few words.
For Aldo, the most important thing was to get married in nature, but that implied certain challenges because it should be a place where gardening is a proposal and at the same time have the infrastructure for a wedding to happen perfectly. The garden has hundreds of endemic plants, jasmine, gardenias, magnolias as well as small lakes with water lilies. “It would not have occurred to either of us to get married in a living room or in the garden of any property, living water was by far the best option.”
Agua Viva Garden has an impressive beauty, arranged in a very natural way it made the decoration minimal and highlighted in every way. The space of the ceremony that is circular was also super important.
The style of your wedding? Very relaxed, and full of life.
The guests never stopped dancing “We asked that there were no colored lights, that all the light be golden and nothing that made it look like a den, because we hate them, and rather a party in the living room of the house.”
Aldo and his mother danced The time you have left of María Dolores Pradera, Fer and her dad Isn’t she lovely? Of Stevie Wonder. Then Aldo and Fer a little piece of Your Song by Elton John and finished with This must be the place by Talking Heads.
A unique wedding, like them.
